I was a little nervous to start this series since I read so many mixed reviews. I’m not sure why, because Shadowhunter books always feel like home to me. I absolutely loved it.

“The cruel will always rumors, and others who take pleasure in that cruelty will believe them and spread them. But I believe that in the end, truth wins out. Besides, the most interesting women are always the most whispered about.”

This book was different than the other books in the Shadowhunter Universe. This book was much more romance/drama heavy and less plot than what I’m used to in the other books. But, I’m not even mad about it, I was here for all the drama.

The only complaint I had early on was that there are so many characters to following and it gets a little overwhelming trying to remember who’s who. But, I fell in love with every single one of them (except for the one who I’m convinced is the literal spawn of satan – IYKYK). James, Cordelia, Matthew and Anna have my whole heart. 🫶🏻 I also really loved getting to see so many characters from The Infernal Devices make appearances!

I’m not sure how I feel about the ending of this book, but I cannot wait to continue the series!

Book #1 of The Last Hours Series.

“Do not let those who cannot see the truth tell you who you are. You are the flame that cannot be put out. You are the star that cannot be lost. You are who you have always been, and that is enough and more than enough. Anyone who looks at you and sees darkness is blind.”

About Me

Hi! I’m so excited to meet you! I was a huge reading in high school and college, but dropped off when adult life started. In 2022 I started struggling with anxiety and decided to pick up a book in a desperate attempt to find a way to calm it. I never looked back! Books have helped me through some of the toughest times in my life and I want to share that with others.
