Book Summary

Feyre, Rhysand, and their friends are still busy rebuilding the Night Court and the vastly altered world beyond, recovering from the war that changed everything. But Winter Solstice is finally approaching, and with it, the joy of a hard-earned reprieve.

Yet even the festive atmosphere can’t keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, her concern for those dearest to her deepens. They have more wounds than she anticipated-scars that will have a far-reaching impact on the future of their court. (Summary from Goodreads)

“I think my heart knew you were mine long before I ever realized it.”

Review/Thoughts

For a novella, this book was not bad. Nothing really happens, it’s mostly fluff without any plot. It was cute, fun, and reminded me of a happy little Hallmark Christmas movie. It does get a bit boring at times, but I really enjoyed some of the character development that happens (particularly getting to learn more about Mor’s backstory).

I adore Nesta and I loved getting a peek into Nesta and Cassia’s relationship. This book made me excited to dive into A Court of Silver Flames!

“She had always been drawn to the untamed, wild things of the world.”

Book #3.5 of A Court of Thorns and Roses.

About Me

Hi! I’m so excited to meet you! I was a huge reading in high school and college, but dropped off when adult life started. In 2022 I started struggling with anxiety and decided to pick up a book in a desperate attempt to find a way to calm it. I never looked back! Books have helped me through some of the toughest times in my life and I want to share that with others.
