Perfect for you if you like:
Grumpy x Sunshine
Age Gap
Single Dad + Nanny
Dual POV

“You’re the sun, Delaney,” he replies, softly. “And anyone who has the privilege to be in your presence basks in the way you shine.”

Book Summary:

Delaney
Becoming the nanny for Cole, the older single dad, who’s as grumpy as he is quiet–was a curveball I never saw coming.
After leaving a toxic relationship, quitting my mundane accounting job, and living in my car, the cautious Cole Campbell helps me get back on my feet.
He gives me a job, a room in his countryside home, and a sense of security I’ve never once had in my chaotic life.
The only thing he’s reluctant to give me is his heart.
We have a three-month deal before I’m gone.
Is it long enough to break down his walls and convince him he deserves to be loved?

Cole
Delaney Emerson is pure sunshine.
She’s ten years my junior. Wild, loud–drop dead gorgeous.
She’s the last person I ever thought I’d hire to be my daughter’s nanny.
Maybe it’s the tempting late-night swims, trips to the bar, or the faux cow milking contest she talks me into. But without even trying, Delaney shows me how to feel alive again for the first time in years.
Being around her is a chance I shouldn’t take.
So why do I want nothing more than to win her heart?

(Summary from Goodreads)

“Even the sun doesn’t shine all damn day. No one expects you to either.”

Review/Thoughts:

I absolutely ADORE this book! I couldn’t put this book down and found myself reading it any free second I had. I was giggling, smiling, kicking my feet – I had the best time reading this book!

I felt an immediate connection to the main characters, Delaney and Cole. The grumpy/sunshine trope was so well done, Cole was the perfect amount of grumpy, but still very likeable, while Delaney was bright and happy without it feeling forced. While I’m not usually a huge fan of kids in books, Ava was such a treat and was so fun to read. The characters develop and work through their issues beautifully.

This book was cute, sweet, and spicy; but also had depth and the author did a wonderful job covering some meaningful and hard topics. The banter, flirting, chemistry, and growth make it an enjoyable story and I loved that it was dual POV.

I can’t rave enough about how much I love this book! This book was well written and I urge you to read it as soon as it’s released. I cant wait to read anything and everything Amelia Chasen writes!

“You make me feel so damn alive.”

Thank you Amelia Chasen for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
